En palabras de Steven Sinofsky –presidente de las divisiones Windows y Windows Live-, la casa ha logrado "reinventar Windows", dotándolo de "toda una nueva variedad de posibilidades". Como ya hemos visto en otras ocasiones, su aspecto guarda ciertas similitudes con Metro y lleva alguno de los elementos de WP7 al escritorio. Internet Explorer 10 no podía faltar a tan señalada cita, así como aplicaciones capaces de comunicarse entre ellas, por ejemplo, para sincronizar contenido entre diferentes dispositivos.<br /> <br /> Por su parte la Windows Store para desarrolladores permitirá a éstos transportar virtualmente sus creaciones a cualquier punto del globo en el que se comercialice el sistema operativo de Microsoft, siendo además compatible con los chipsets basados en ARM y x86. En resumen, que será posible acceder a ellas tanto "desde un tablet de 10 pulgadas como desde una pantalla de 27".
